Another way to limit the effectiveness and leave it closer at least to as is would be to exempt Brutes or similar sort of similar sub-types. So even if you could eliminate a common humanoid, you'd only do (In) in bonus damage against a Common Brute
. i dont see why a brute or other subtypes should be excluded in the end it is still a common bad guy. and on the same lvl as a hero. i believe its 2 commons equals a single hero

Brutes (can) gain an ability to resist murderous precision.

am i understanding right, that one of the issues is what type of foe can be targeted with this talent? ...snip...

I have always understood that MP only works on Humanoids. (The Catanari path has something cool that works the same way with infernals) I suppose it would be clearer if it said instead:

Once per Scene, if you successfully attack any
single minion or common humanoid you instantly
vanquish or slay that humanoid despite its armor rating

as the text stands right now (above) do you all still see it as too limited? if so, why?

I personally think the talent is overpowered as is, so I have no issue with it.

Sorry getting into the weeds. This is what the errata currently says:

"Tier I: Once per Scene, when performing any attack from ambush or when you catch an opponent by surprise or off guard, if you successfully attack any single minion humanoid or common humanoid you instantly vanquish or slay that creature despite its armor rating, remaining Wounds, or Stamina. If the target attacked is not a minion or common creature you deal (In) in additional damage."

This is my recommendation:

Tier I: If you catch your humanoid target off guard because it is blind, stunned, or unaware of your hostile intent, then once per Scene with a successfully attack you may instantly vanquish or slay that humanoid despite its armor rating, remaining Wounds, or Stamina as long as it is a minion or common threat. If the humanoid attacked is not a minion or common threat you instead deal your passive (In) in additional damage.

No its not too limited. Knowing how to eliminate someone in a dark alley shouldn't necessarily help you gack a spawn of Tzizhet.

how do guys see it as overpowered. as it stands it is usable only once per scene, is a pretty much a waste on minions, until tier 5 is only good on commons (for the instant kill and does only passive on anything bigger so maybe 3 or 4 points mighty swing does more dmg in this instance with fewer requirments), and can only be used on humaniods?

It works on common threats too which are different from minions. When 2 or 3 people at a able have it then some encounters just get creamed. See above for a discussion on fighting cyclopses. Leaving behind the Crusade arc where we focused on infernals I expect humanoids to become the most common foe. So further restrictions on when and how MP can be used makes sense to me.

like i said eariler i would like to see the chance to use other talents/abilites..etc in conjunction with MP so that one could "gack a spawn of Tzizhet" or something other then humanoid. in previous example i used hunter talent, as a hunter of say spawn of tzizhet along with MP you would have a good knowledge as to where the heart/ vital organ would be, thus making it easier to kill. but i'm sure that is something to look into in the future
