I have a character that is a templar. The background gives you deities favors armor. His god is Cadic, who's favorite armor is Leather. It doesn't say Leather Armor but Leather. Does that mean he is proficient in all Leather style armies or just Leather Armor?

Away from my books, but if memory serves, it says something like "choose any one cuirass." Etc etc. in that case you get proficiency with any one leather armor.

It says
Quote:
Armor Proficiency (deity’s chosen armor
.

And Cadic says
Quote:
any leather
. I read that as all Leather not pick one, or just in the name.

It was stated that you are proficient in armours with Leather in the name. The way the talent works, you are proficient in a number of armours equal to your Passive Logic as I recall.

I have this list as "leather" for deities favored armor purposes. I don't remember where I got this list (possibly a Pedro post on the old forums or buried in the rules somewhere).

Armored Jacket
Leather Armor
Boiled Leather
Lorica Musculata
Milandisian Leather Cuirass
Sicarite Studded Leather
Studded Leather
Sicarite Reinforced Leather

Mostly, that's the armors with "Leather" in the name (but add Armored Jacket and Lorica Musculata).

Armored jacket and Lorica are not leather.

Please give a citation (rule or official forum post). I know I pulled my list from somewhere - if it wasn't in the rules, it was almost certainly a post from PCI on the old forums (most likely StatMonkey) which, to me anyway, makes it pretty official. From the same source, I also have lists for Cuirass (what you'd expect) and Lorica (what you'd expect plus Cataphractos Segmentata).

Of course, the old forums are gone so we can't go back to double-check...

Addendum:
In the main rulebook, Armored Jacket is listed as "Armored Jacket (Leather)".
Lorica Musculata is less clear cut but starts off saying "This version of lorica is made of hardened leather" (which also looks like leather to me).

Note: I have little to gain personally in this fight as I have no active characters with or likely to care about "any Leather" from deity armor. I just want to make sure everyone is working from the same list (and, as I said, I pulled mine from somewhere "official(ish)").

I can deal with Leather in title that works for me. Would like to see a list though for all of them. Now my second question is: If I get all Light for my Nation, will that give me Advanced Armor Training in those if they are Leather?

This is taken from the Arcanis FAQ.

Question: What armors qualify as leather for the “Any
Leather” Armor Proficiency? What about for “Any Cuirass”
and “Any Lorica”?
Answer:
• Any Leather: Armored Jacket, Leather Armor,
Studded Leather, Boiled Leather, Lorica Musculata,
Milandisian Leather Cuirass, Sicarite Studded Leather and
Sicarite Reinforced Leather
