Now I am really going to hate it if I have to miss Origins this year, or even if I have to miss Friday at Origins this year. A Witch Hunter LARP is definitely not to be missed, especially since I already created my character.

Bitter news for Arcaniacs.

Perhaps it will lead to good news for PCI. I wish well all those players who are also Witchhunters.

Hello Eric,

Bitter news? A bit of an exaggeration, wouldn't you say?

I would rank that canceling of the campaign or the discontinuation of the game Bitter news, but IMO I don't thiink this ranks that high. :-)

We could just hold a no stakes arcanis event , where we renact the scenes in the tavern after the crusade ( Eat drink and be merry)

wait, thats big bar on two, every night after the last slot finishes

Personally, I am fine with no LARP. Especially if it helps PCI develop some other business options for Arcanis and any other product line they have.

I also support the idea that any kind of 'special' event should be used as applicable, not just for the sake of having one.

PCI's decision tells me these HPs are going to put the Arcanis characters somewhere that doesn't allow for relaxed conversation and dealings. What are your thoughts: deep down in the purple-hued earth? lost somewhere in an other-wordly fortress? on some field of battle facing hordes of Khatani forces? stuck in a room forced to listen to a ponderous religious debate between Dilbert and Haakon?

Disappointing news then. ...I would never want to exaggerate. :P

I know my opinion is not the same as most players but I have always preferred the LARPs to the BIs. And I think that there are some issues in the LA campaign (like the State of the Milandesian Church post Sabinius, w/ questions on what the integration of the Fire Dragon really means) that would lend themselves well to the LARP format... and are needed regardless of how tightly they tie in to any specific modules. So yes a disappointment that there is no LARP and/or other similiar kind of special event PCI might be experimenting with.

But I am still looking forward to what Arcanis goodness is being offered. And of course hope the Witch Hunter LARP goes well and leads to good things for PCI.

Hello everyone,

And just so I don't forget to post this later, here are the Legends of Arcanis Blurbs for Origins 2014.

Origins Game Fair 2014

Legends of Arcanis

Hard Point 2-6: The Mountain and the Phoenix
By Henry Lopez

A power struggle between the Khitani military and the Jial of the Phoenix finds the Heroes delving into a mysterious ruin where ancient secrets are uncovered and the fate of thousands depends on a mysterious jade box.

Hard Point 2-7: A Tale of Three Brothers
By Henry Lopez

The First City is in a near panic as victims appear ritualistically butchered and the only clue as to who the killer is and what he wants may lie in the long lost tale of the three brothers, Subali, Subalay, Subalo.

Hard Point 2-8: Sweeping the Board Clean
By Henry Lopez

Things come to a head as the puppet master behind a number of seemingly unrelated events proceeds to the end game, sweeping the board clean of all that may oppose him.

Hard Point 2-9: Battle Interactive - Make a Fist Before Striking
By Jim Beck, James Zwiers and Henry Lopez

The battle is joined and the fate of the First City hangs in the balance. Only one thing is certain – no matter the victor, the Blessed Lands and perhaps even all the Known Lands, will never be the same again.

How about we compromise and go with Dullbert :)
