Just wanting to make sure that I have this right. For worn weapons they use the unarmed skill, you can use both the weapon tricks for it and unarmed attacks, and are considered and unarmed attack. Does that also mean that weapon mastery unarmed applies to them or do they need to be taken separately?
My first instinct is they are separate weapons, but everything about them is they are just an add on to unarmed makes me think they it would apply.

This is interesting meaning I wouldn't need weapon training in both unarmed and the worn weapon as well. So I guess that makes my character idea have a slightly easier time with talents.

I am going to disagree.

The cestus, for example, is a worn weapon and yet clearly (to me) requires its own proficiency and mastery besides unarmed attacks. Less sure about a simple gauntlet. I think the complicated rule for the gauntlet is that like shields you get a "virtual" proficiency with it if you are proficient with a type of armor that has gauntlets (all heavy armors, some medium armors...would have to check. Think that topic has come up before).

You COULD take the vacuus comminus fighting style and the Weapon Familiarity talent, both from Codex of Heroes. That would solve the talent problem of Multiple Weapon Mastery.

Well in this case it is a tail bracer. I was wondering if I needed seperate proficiency/mastery on that vs normal unarmed. Since I'm still wondering between natural claws, Bio. Adapt (bite), or Claws of the beast.

I believe Weapon Mastery in the tail bracer needs to be pursued independently of Weapon Mastery in unarmed attacks.

This is already covered by the Errata.

You still have to have Weapon Training in both Unarmed and the weapon to take advantage of this quality.

Can anyone confirm whether gauntlet weapon training is included with armor proficiency? It works for shields so I'd that makes sense, it'd be nice to confirm before spending talents.

Thanks!

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul

Shields are a special case. Gauntlets are not considered to be part of the armour when it comes to training. You would need to spend a talent to use them as special weapons.
