Here is an interesting question.... Are the souls of Undir Pure? I ask because I realized that Undr and Kio are not listed as eligible races for patchwork soul. That raises two questions. First are they legal for patchwork soul? (RAW Says no). If not, the follow on question is "Why not?"

"Pure as the driven snow is my soul" says Teonas my Undir Elementalist [making his Deceit check]. "While we're having this pleasant conversation can I interest you in some waterfront property in Metra?" ;)

While not currently in the rules, I believe it has been established in the campaign in the past that the Kio and Undir are pseudo-elemental races, meaning that their souls aren't 'pure' (they are melded with an elemental spirit of some sort).

It is clear they are not legal for patchwork soul. As to the why...welcome to another secret of Arcanis.

The rules are clear that they aren't eligible.

Tukufu has written IC on the confusing nature of souls. He has a lot of questions. Some of them he can't put down on paper.

OOC I believe the feature of patchwork souls is a property of Beltine's stirring of the souls in the Cauldron. Breaking them up into pieces for reassembly. So I believe that if your race/soul has an origin outside of the PoM/Cauldron then it stands to reason you won't find patchwork souls amongst them. No elorii or Ss'ressen have patchwork souls...

It would be interesting to find out f the Savosh/Mandai split has any impact on patchwork souls...
