I'm having issues using the forums, as it keeps logging me out whenever I press almost any link. This is the 5th time I've tried to post this, so hopefully this one makes it through. It also kicks me off whenever I try to go to a 'hidden' page like the Secret Society boards.

I'm able to access everything, the problem might be on your end.

It seems better today, and it was better on my phone when I tried it later, but yesterday it did it with 3 different web browsers. I don't know what was different as I haven't changed any settings.

Very strange.

The site never remembers me even though I always check the "remember me" box when logging in.

It sometimes remembers me but often not. The most annoying is when clicking on links in email notifications that want a login because the system does not seem to remember where it should go (it takes me to either the forum or the start of the thread rather than the new post(s)).

I'm not affiliated in any way with the administration of these forums. However, as a software developer, I find that typically, when a small number of people are having unusual or intermittent problems with a piece of software, it has a lot to do with other applications/services/drivers that are loaded. Not everyone produces high-quality software. (And just because it's popular and pervasive doesn't mean it's well-written.)

Anyway, you may want to try some of the following...
    - Clear all your temporary internet files & cookies. I know it's annoying to have to "rebuild" your history, but this often helps.
    - Go through your browser's add-ins and uninstall just about all of them. Many people don't even realize how many add-ins get installed onto their systems without their permission... well, generally they do give permission, they just didn't realize that they gave it. Browser add-ins can slow down browsers and interfere with otherwise well-working sites.
    - Install the latest version of your browser. Sometimes this can be the cause. But it's generally at the bottom of my list. However, if you feel comfortable doing it, uninstalling your browser and installing the latest version can also be helpful.

Good luck!
Scott

I'm also a software developer and absolutely none of those fix the problem of the website not always knowing who you are. There's another thread where someone else points out that if a notification link takes you to the login page (when it should remember you) then it will always do so (which seems true the few times I've tested). There seems to be something broken with the way the forums generate notification emails/links sometimes that bypasses the "remember me".

The notification links is my primary problem. Other times, it usually does remember me.

Any chance the webstore will open for orders again at all ? I'd like to get my hands on some of the newer books to flip through. My local stores won't carry products from smaller companies anymore do to issues with the distributors not wanting to stock them anymore and them being to unreliable to get in in sufficient time for special orders.
