Ok, I know we had a list before, but for some reason, my sleep deprived mind can not find it, where is the full listing of the Known portals of Anshar? Thanks Kenny. |

Having just played a module with an Anshar Portal, there's one inside Venkata (Which you have listed) and it's guarded by the (previously Coryan) undead legion (Whose name I forget). It's inside the Dome of the city. John |

It is actually Grim Lamentations. The adventure is being edited to fit with what has been established in canon. |

Uh , what? your telling me an active coryani legion is stationed in Ventaka. I think your smoking crack. the Doom of Chendo was the undead legion that was stationed in Enpebyn but left (was chased out) after the big to do about the blast powder there, and IIRC Henery was the one that had them defect and move to Ventaka. I'll work on references for that later. Other things I might believe: the clergy of anshar controls the gate in Ventaka, or there is an undead horde in ventaka's gate room. |

The one you're accusing of smoking crack would be me. The Legion of Grim Lamentation is tasked with guarding all the Gates of Anshar and with a couple of notable exceptions, they do. And as for the Doom of Chendo, maybe I'm getting old but I don't remember every having them "defect" to Canceri. |

Oh Henry, why must you make things so complicated? (we love you for it tho so don't mind me, and sorry if i was a bit vehement in my phrasing) So I went digging, and oh the memories so part of this can be explained by my faulty memory, and an explanation of the events of the battle of Enpebyn from Darrel Weaver (taken from LATalk) Quote: Many of the skulls protecting Enpebyn, including that of the General of the ghost legion, were torn loose from the city's buildings by the blast powder explosion and have disappeared into the Lavender Way. Oops my bad, but I swear they ended up in Ventaka, I'm still wrong tho On more looking, (On the Red March, from the Nishampur Campaign) indicated the gate was buried and unprotected and that adventure was the Heroes trying to uncover it. And I have yet to find any listings from the old campaign where it was protected. so if the Legion of Grim Lamentation is in Ventaka, how does that work, I would imagine very precariously. |

additions to the list, isnt there a portable gate, in the hands of Ymandragore? and a celestial gate in the hinterlands (late in the crusade arc , i cant recall if that was a normal gate in addition to its function as a world gate) and the gate that was on the southern continent that made an appearance in Wrong turn at Coryan? |

1) It was the Legion of Black Sun which is an undead legion, as I recall. They were last seen making their way to Canceri as I recall. 2) There is no Celestial Giant Gate (to my knowledge) in the Hinterlands. The only one that came up in the Crusade Arc was in Niss in the Unsealed Lands (which was set to go critical so I doubt it is there anymore). 3) The gate was buried 50 years ago. It has since been un-buried. The only time the Ventaka gate was used 'on camera' was when the whole thing was under assault by the Swords of Nier when Elebac was going to become Undead. At that point, the Heroes were attacked by Nierites as soon as they exited the Portal so presumably the Legion either gave way or were killed. 4) No clue about a portable Ansharan gate on Ymandragore. Though, technically ALL gates are portable, since we know that the gate in Grand Coryan was moved to its present location. |
