Hi all,

I'm running What Lies Beneath at the game store tonight, and in my last-minute read of the mod found that there's a Lightning Rune and a pair of Greaves of the Scout in the treasure.

Until I can get my hands on FiM, can someone tell me what these do so I can tell my players?

In the A:RPG rules set the Greaves of the Scout give you a +1 bonus to AR if you are wearing light or medium armor & a bonus to Tracking rolls (+1 or +2 If you are Tier 3). The fine Lightning rune does +1 damage if you put it on a weapon. On armor or a shield I think it increases your AR by 1 against lightning attacks.

Hi, new player to the game and slowly growing fan.

I just played this exact module over the weekend at Marscon and was awarded the rune of lighting.

Inquiring to my GM, Bill, about what to do with said rune if I got this for a reward instead of buying one for a thousand gold back at sicaris to have it enchanted. Does it get automatically enchanted to an item of my choosing or should I start saving more gold to get it enchanted at the off chance I'm in sicaris again?

Are there even cheaper offers to get it enchanted?

Welcome to Arcanis.

First of all, I assume you're playing Arcanis with the 5E ruleset (in case others wish to opine).

If you are rewarded a rune, you may have it transferred to an item that is either a weapon, spell foci, armor (including expensive clothing) or shield. The cost to do the transfer is 1/2 the cost of the rune (depending on the rune's rarity).

The rules are detailed in our magic item book Forged in Magic: REFORGED.

And again - welcome.
