I've run the 5E version several (5-6) times now at a FLGS's weekly ad-hoc DnD night. These have been tables of 4-5 mostly-new, often teenage DnD players, running with PHB races and classes, at level 2-3.
So far, it has usually run for me in around 4.5 hours. There's a fair amount of basic game instruction in that figure. The (new) players tend to split up in groups of 1-3, especially if someone brings a small-sized PC who can explore "off the map". That means a lot of action all over the place. Both of those things have slowed the game enough that I twice chose to not trigger the final fight for time constraints.
