Post subject:  What will be your useful LoA item?
For those who threw in the add-on, what "Useful Item" are you planning on getting?

For my primary (Marcus Decius Val'Assante), I have been thinking of getting an Exceptional set of Cancerese torture devices (for Intimidation). I have also been debating about items that could be used for Perception, Persuasion, Deceit, Streetwise, Etiquette, or Empathy...but I havent thought of anything uniquely appropriate.

My Agamassi wont have many non-combat/arcanum skills. Maybe Athletics, Acrobatics, Intimidation, or Perception. But, again, nothing is coming to mind. The only thing I can really think of is a scroll of Ssethregoran recipes that would give a bonus to Artisan: Cooking (Humanoids).

I am likely going to go for one for either Perception, Persuasion or Streetwise.

If it's Perception, they will be a pair of exceptionally crafted Altherian lenses that help filter out glare during the day and enhance clarity at night.

For Persuasion, it's going to be something along the lines of a special commendation from serving the First City in their defense against the *Spoiler*

For Streetwise, I was thinking of a pure-story based 'everful flagon' that I could provide drinks for people while gathering information.

I've been pondering something to help with intimidation or persuasion.

My character has always kept 'trophies' from adversaries, and I think those could be fitting for role-playing and crunch functions. Something like the claw of a big beast, the horn of some infernal mount, the ears of a bastard Malfelan hunter, etc.

"See this, guy? This a a claw from Ubraxgobbledy-gook after he fell from, among other strikes, a thrust of _this_ spear. You hands aren't as impressive but I'm willing to chop one of yours off if you don't spill your secrets."

Ambassador Tukufu will be acquiring a special Coat with secret pockets and/or a set of "clockwork repair tools" ... otherwise & collectively known in the trade as +2 to Larceny checks.

I havent decided, Delbert will probably come across a copy of "How to win friends and influence neighbors" Or a particularly shiny Heraldric device that add to persuasion, or possibly a Saddle or barding to add to my Ride skill

For my Knight who is going the commander route, I was thinking a book titled "Tactics of war" penned by one Felix val'ossen, for battle.

Is Battle a valid option? It is listed as a combat skill.

I assumed the combat skills meant the attack skills, melee and ranged.

That would be up to PCI for a definite yay or nay...it says non-Combat, non-Arcanum....so my guess would be no to Battle or Mettle. But, it is a cool idea, otherwise.
