Hello everyone, Work is progressing on the project and its various rewards. During Origins last month, two of the Special Tables were run and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. The last two tables will be run at Gen Con, with a followup online table run for the patrons who couldn't make either show. Sorcerous Pacts is done and the art is in. We'll be doing a playtest on some of the Tier V creatures that can be summoned to assure that they are up to snuff. Assuming that all goes well this coming week, I hope to have the PDF off to everyone before I leave for Gen Con. The Manuscript on the Blessed Lands book is growing. I felt it would be a good place to add a brief entry on the dwarven enclave of Tultipet as well as beefing up a section within the First City itself. This section will detail many places of interest in both the cleared and uncleansed area of the City. My goal is to write an adventure hook for each one so that those running home campaigns will have lots of material available to them. The manuscript sits at about 70k words without any crunch. That's the equivalent to a 128 page book as is, so with the added material I think this book will grow to be a 160 page book. |

Thanks for the update Henry, the cover for Sorcerous Pacts looks really good. One question I had was regarding the special characters; I had assumed that the certs would have something similar to the level 1.5 certs (outlining starting XP, GP, etc). I assume that we start at the bottom of our tier for XP, but do we start with zero GP as well? I haven't been able to fill out my Origins certs yet because I wasn't sure what I had started with. Thanks! |

Hello Akira, The Special Character cert (unless otherwise written on the cert) just gives you the option to create said character. So gold, etc is the same as if you'd created a regular character from the book. If you then wish to bump them up to Tier 1.5, apply that cert as normal. |

Akira, If you're referring to the Chosen by Fate Special Character, you create your old LA character per the usual rules and then apply the Tier 1.5 bump cert. The gold, etc are as stated in the book. Is this what you're referring to? |

So actually, um, my special table (BEAST) was just awful...umm..yeah...terrible... no fun at all... uh... demand...err...strongly request... a make-up table... yeah... that's the ticket... OHALRIGHTFINE!!! It was epic, it was amazing, and we ALL had one hell of a great time. The only thing that could have made it better - and all of the players agree with this, by the way - would have been if it had lasted an additional 6 hours. Seriously, BEAST loved it and we wouldn't have traded a moment of it for anything else at the Con. The whole thing - story, combat, storytime with Uncle Henry, all the WTF moments - that table ALONE was worth coming to Origins. Okay, that and the food at North Market. |

Hello James, I'm glad you and the rest of B.E.A.S.T. enjoyed it as much as I did. Not sure I'm young enough to keep doing those 6 hour marathon games, but I'm glad things were to everyone's satisfaction. Two more on tap for Gen Con. Hopefully those will go just as well. |

I know that everyone is busy with Gencon at the moment, but I just realized that we are two weeks away from September (the anticipated delivery date for the Blessed Lands books). Is everything still on schedule? I assume that we won't have the books in early September, but do you have an idea as to when it will be sent to the printer? Thanks |
