| Post subject: | Starting armor |
Trying to create a val'Sheem psion from Coryan. For armor the rules say:"The equivalent of leather armor from your starting nation." But Coryani only have studded leather as regional armor. Do I get now leather armor, studded leather or noting? |

I think you’d get leather armor. Coryan doesn’t have a regional variant, so you use the “base” armor. That said if you really want studded leather you have the option to take the starting cash instead and buy your gear. Maybe I’m lazy or a softy, but when i judge/GM I never audit 1st level PCs down to investigating how they started off in studded leather armor. Just don’t tell me you PC has started out in Plate and can cast a fireball. I assume most PCs buy better armor anyway after their first or second adventure. If they survive... |

It is studded leather now according to the rulebook now. |
