Hi, Had a quick skim on my copy and looks like a few syntax typos made it through editing. I'll add them here as I get time. Little things like "do" should be "do not" in a few places. |

When a spell from a scroll is used to "charge" a Sorcery rune, does it consume the scroll as it the spell were cast from the scroll? |

Can 5E Armor Runes be inscribed onto clothing, or must it be 'armor'? |

Southernskies wrote: Can 5E Armor Runes be inscribed onto clothing, or must it be 'armor'? That's a good question, and the wording in FiM says that 'one mundane item' has 3 rune slots, but each rune only has functions listed for armor and sometimes shields. That means that the magic of the rune only takes hold when inscribed on an armor or a shield. When inscribed onto clothing, the rune looks lovely but does nothing. As runesmiths improve their craft and artisans improve their skills and gain access to new materials, it is possible that an effect for clothing could be discovered for certain runes. Then once those runes are inscribed on clothing they would have an effect. But for now, such effects do not exist. |

The reason for the question is that ARG has already ruled 'clothing' = 'armour' for runes. 5E hasn't made that distinction yet. |

We can definitely review that distinction and see if it makes sense in 5e. With the way the bounded accuracy system works, I'm hesitant about opening up runes to clothing. But it's something we can certainly review. |
