Isn't the Legion of Shining Glory the one which became the seed for the Shining Patrol once Altheria left the Coryani Empire?

That sounds possible. The only reference I found was in two IC blurbs in the PrC section, and I do remember one was for the Altherian Sharpshooter.

The Legion of Shining Glory was mentioned because the legionnaire who provided the flavor quote was from that legion. So the Shining Glory seems to exist at least as of the old campaign, and was presumably deployed against the Ssethregorans in a way that allowed interaction with the Shining Patrol.

Edit: The same legionnaire also provided the quote for the Tal Kanath PrC as well, for what it's worth.
