For the Divine Archetype specific advancement – select any 2 Devout Talents, this should be clarified to note that ASC: Sarishan Sorcerer Priest is an acceptable choice.

With a sweep of his hat,

I personally disagree with this find, because the rules work perfectly as they are.

A character built around the idea of using the Sorcerer Priest of Sarish spell source is the only one that can choose whether to take the Divine or Arcane Archetype.
The choice of which Archetype should be an important decision. While it does effect starting weapon and armor proficiencies which, it also effects your addition advancement options.
It does not prevent you from following Anointed Priest of Sarish Path or Sorcerer-Priest of Sarish Path because entry (for now) is based on your Background (taking Initiate of the Gods) not Archetype.
Also by taking the Divine Archetype you do not limit your ability to take the Arcane Spell Casting Talent. While it is a Limited talent it specifically says on page 186 at the end of the Talent under Special (Access): This Talent is no longer limited for you, but only when advancing a chosen source.
So this means you can gain higher Tiers of this Talent using the "Gain any 2 Talents" advancement or the "Gain any 1 Talent" advancement.
If someone is taking the Divine Archetype then the "2 Devout Talent" advancement should be for 2 Devout talents.
All these rules work perfectly fine as they are.

And I disagree with the disagreement. There is no Divine Spellcasting talent for Sarish. Archetype determines what additional Talent advancement options are available. In every other instance of the rules requiring Divine Spellcasting, the notation is made that "unless you are a worshipper of Sarish". This has always felt like an oversight to me, and saying it doesn't count for this one thing seems contradictory.

I agree with this disagreement of the disagreement. Or something like that. :D I also read it as an oversight and inconsistent with how SP and ASC (SP) are treated elsewhere.

In all other instances this is included because it would deny Divine builds of Sarish being built. ie Divine Archetype, Initiate of the Gods background, and Templar background.
But nothing is denied to the player they just have to use a different advancement.
And Arcane Archetype Sorcerer Priest of Sarish uses "Gain 2 Arcanum Talents" to gain new spell casting, while a Divine Archetype Sorcerer Priest of Sarish uses "Gain any 2 Talents" to learn new spells.
I see nothing wrong with this set up.

I think the intent of the book to replace DSC Sor-Priest with ASC Sor-Priest is pretty evident, and this proposed errata is just fixing an oversight

I don't see the oversight.
You're right the intent is to replace DSC with ASC for the SPS "in character creation." Character creation is filled with exceptions and one offs and not just with the SPS. While Advancements have no exceptions.
Perhaps we should add the rule that Weapon Training (national), or Weapon Mastery (national) can't be selected during Advancements, because it's not stated anywhere and they do exists in character creation.

Why are we fixing something that doesn't need fixing. If there was something in the rules that denied a Divine Archetype the ability to gain new Tiers of Arcane Spell Casting I'd be in complete agreement with everyone else.
I feel we are adding to rules that are already clear, workable, and in my opinion understandable. ASC is NOT DSC even to a Sorcerer Priest of Sarish. SPS gets ASC instead of DSC during character creation.

SP are supposed to break the rules, why allow them to be divine at all if Divine spellcasting SP is not equivalent to Arcane spellcasting SP

?

I agree with others (and disagree with Vault) - it's clear to me that the intent is that ASC(SP) = DSC in all ways for SPs.

Hmm. Maybe that's a simpler errata and will encompass any other places it was missed - "Special: For Sorcerer-Priests of Sarish, all references to DSC are replaced with ASC(SP)".
