What about taking it as 10' added to the reach of 10' meaning you can either hit them repeatedly at 10' or once at 20' when you throw it?

Worthless? I wouldn't say that. It give you +5 to damage which is pretty good in my mind. Of course, then you'd be without a weapon so you'd need to figure that part out unless you want to carry an extra trident. Which might be pretty heavy. ;)

Great Trident gets mighty swing at Tier 3 and there are a number of weapons that can provide that immediately through Adapt Weapon Trick at Tier 1. If they want to rule it as range 0' without mighty throw they can do that I guess, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me and I can't imagine I'll ever use it. I could easily build a Mighty Swing + Sweeping Strike with 10' reach for +1 (+4). Throwing at that point is useless.

The thrown quality and ranges on the light and great trident still are not in the Errata.

I thought the word from PCI was that Great Trident is not supposed to have the Thrown property (just Mighty Throw weapon trick).
