Just a quick question.

Is the armor version of the rune supposed to be fine exceptional or legendary? Most people I know buy it as a fine run, but it seems more in line (powerwise) with the exceptional weapon version. The armor function is untiered. This is the Text from FiM:

Wand, Weapon, Shield: 1/day you may activate this Rune to recover some Stamina.
• Fine: 1d10 Stamina
• Exceptional: 2d10 Stamina
• Legendary: 3d10 Stamina
Armor: While you wear this armor, you gain 10 points
of Stamina.

Not definitive but I'm pretty sure the cert from the Delve at Origins 2013 listed it as Fine Rune of Perseverance for armor.

Eric,

The certs that were given out at the end of the 1st campaign gave a choice of 4 Runes - Perseverance was one of them. All the other were Tier 1 runes.

My question has nothing in particular to do with any cert. My question is what level of rune gives the armors benefit of +10 stamina. Most people assume it is a fine rune. And apparently there are couple of certs that reflect that. But I've never been sure. The entry under armor doesn't say what level of rune gives that benefit...just the benefit.

My eyeballing suggests that its more in line with the exceptional runes on wand weapons and shields ... just tossed it out there.

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, the flat +10 is more in line with a random 2d10 than a 1d10. From that perspective I can certainly see the argument for it being made an Exceptional Rune.

As a Fine rune it will get used frequently. If that's the intent, then probably best to leave it where it is. If the intent is to base it directly on how it corresponds to the other abilities then stepping it up makes more sense.

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul
