In Devoted(Seeker) Path, you get the talent, Learn Spell (Deity). With the initial intentions for Learn Spell in this errata, I have to ask this question.

When taking the Devoted(Seeker) Path and your character does not have a Deity tradition spell known, can the character learn any one Deity spell from any Tier up to PC's current Tier, or will the character be restricted to a Tier 1 diety spell?

My interpretation is that it is only a Tier 1 spell.

My intent when I wrote it was only limited to the tier of spells you already have available. So if you have Divine Spell Casting II, you'd be able to select a tier 1 or tier 2 deity spell. If your character is tier 2 and you only have Divine Spell Casting I, you'd be limited to tier 1. It's already more focused than your standard Learn Spell as it's Deity Only, though that could open up a new tradition if you took Rudimentary Prayers and picked another tradition.

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul

You can chose a spell of any Tier you can cast.. but only from the Deity tradition (and limited to common spells and those of your god)
