Current wording allows unlock access through Sword Saint etc and you can still take it for the bonuses (not many actually grant this talent at the time).

You cannot take Rudimentary XXX more than once, and if you get it after you have other spellcasting, you get Learn Spell.

I think what is being said is: If you unlock Rudimentary Prayers/Spell Casting but don't get it automatically, the way it was written you could still manually take it as a Talent after having ASC/DSC and get the free rank as written.

I think a cleaner way to word it might be:
