But for an Expert to take it as a weapon, they must spend a talent. A Martial gains proficiency with ALL Armours AND Weapons of their nations, while NO other Archetype does. |

If an Expert wants to spend a Weapon Talent on a single Shield, that seems fine to me. They don't get the 'universal' shields that Martials get. John |

It was stated elsewhere on the forums I believe saying that Martials get Armour Proficiency (Shields), and not just Armour Proficiency (Whatever shields are on their national table). |

Nope. Exactly the opposite. I asked and Pedro said that Martial only get Armor Proficiency (whatever shields are on the national table). I had to rebuild one character due to that clarification. |

That answer doesn't match the one where you can pick a shield as a weapon proficiency from a national weapons list. Or did that get removed? John |
