I have colored rubber bands, and jewel stickers that can serve the same purpose as identical figures

I must be one of the few that write down or use NPC clocks to track my NPC's in combat. :)

I do this too. The few the proud. :P I use a d12 for my master clock and a scribble sheet to track my NPCs.

I like to let my players see when the NPCs go, the goal for the NPCs on the mat is to use the stones there as well, and for minnions in a group the stones will read 1a, 1b and so on.

When running at home, I use a custom application that runs in Internet Explorer (using Windows Presentation Foundation, for all us computer geeks out there.) The link used to be up on the old boards. I'm hoping to make a few tweaks to it to make it faster to use (fewer clicks to increase usability.)

Now that I have a smaller laptop, I might just start using it at conventions as well. However, when running a table at a BI, I tend to use dice/miniatures and a paper clock, since I can move those along faster, thus saving those precious seconds for the PCs.

Forgive the rookie ignorance, but what's BI stand for? I've seen it come up a lot on these boards.

Side note: a mobile app for Arcanis clocks would be really cool.

This is on my 'to do' in the next few months as well as an app for a character sheet :)
