Nope.

At Step 3, I would personally swap Lo to 4 and Re to 3.

Reason? It gives you a passive Logic of 3 (after your Background increase), which is another skill rank at Step.7 (a new or existing skill) and another TWO ranks over the tier as you choose advancements (not counting a new skill that is also boosted by "Train All Skills by 1 rank").

It doesn't seem like much, but they add up when you apply it to the skill roll TN bell curve.

Question. The character creation sheet I have says at step 3, Heroic--40 Point Buy. I would have taken this to mean your points add up to 40 at the end of this step, but both on Cody' setup and my sheet, they add up to 37ish. How does this part work?

On my example, I gave you the following stats with the 40 pt buy:

Stat - Score/d#/Passive/pts
Mi - 5/d8/3/6
Pr - 6/d8/3/9
Qu - 5/d8/3/6
Vi - 4/d8/2/3

Ch - 6/d8/3/9
In - 4/d8/2/3
Lo - 3/d6/2/1
Re - 4/d8/2/3

6+9+6+3+9+3+1+3= 40

Remember, you Attribute SCORE is not how much each attribute COSTS in the build. You do NOT add up all your SCORES for the 40 points. Please refer to Table 2-3 Attribute Scores, Values (actually spelled 'Vaules'), and Costs on page 103 of the ARPG.

Alright, I think I have a halfway decent handle on things. I had chosen Castiate as a speel, it just never made it onto the character sheet. My oversight. I ended up with nothing on the list that Cody gave (Appraise, Artisan: Blacksmith, Deceit, Etiquette, Tracking, Wilderness Lore). That will have to be examined further. I think I will take heirloom for the Lorica. I am thinking of losing acrobatics as skill and talent. Partially, I want to get perception, partially, I really just haven't used ityet. Weapon mastery needs added. I will need to pick out at least one talent, two if I drop Acrobatics, if I understand right. I need to add the "universal spells" such as Discern residue. Restatting should be examined. I do believe I have abetter understanding of the character creation process at his point. I have messaged my area Harvester to ask if he will help me make final adjustments using the advice I have gotten here. Will still need to examine Paths and that is something I feel well need to be done in person as there are juist to many options. Thank everyone who has posted on this thread. I appreciate it guys! You've all been awesome and a great help. I will keep watching this thread in case anyone else has anything to add to it. Hope I can make it to Winter Fantasy and meeta couple of you.

Just a comment on adding a file such as a character sheet to the thread. I was posting to a different thread a couple minutes ago, and scrolled down past where you submit your reply. There is a box to add files, which you can click browse and it appears like when you do an e-mail attatchment. I feel slightly special for missing this, but thought, hey it might help someone else in the future who wants to post.
