Hello Paul,

Ah, now I understand.

With the retirement of all Year 1 and Year 2 mods, all ARG characters are going to be at least Tier 3.1. Can the original versions of the mods be run and the original certs used with the GM adjusting the difficulty appropriately for the characters appropriately, or do we need to wait for revised versions of the mods to be released and run?

Let me first correct you on one thing: The Coming of the Destroyer story arc adventures have not been retired.

The issue that forced us to take the adventure distribution system down was one of web security and integrity. It is my intention to make those available again for general release.

So to your specific question of running them at a higher tier, technically no, as it's against the campaign rules.

Here's why:

The volunteers that we have for the campaign, specifically the ARG campaign, is low. We just had a new volunteer come on board, but even so, there's not enough man-hours to get everything done.

For example, one thing that i think 5E does well is that side box with notes on how to ramp the adventure's difficulty up or down. I think that would be a great thing to include with the ARG adventures, so any originally designed for Tier II can be played with higher tiered characters.

But we just don't have the bandwidth to do this, so they get put on a 'to-do' list and they keep getting bumped down as higher priority items get added.

Why higher priority? Because we reasoned that those adventures have been up for quite a few years and that anyone who wanted them, downloaded them a while back.

Now, this opens up an avenue of opportunity for those who would like to help the campaign out.

I don't want to specifically put Paul on the spot, as he has a large family and the obligations on his time is high, (I presume), so this is a blanket 'HELP WANTED' ad.

If any of you would like to help with the ARG (or 5E, for that matter) campaigns, we would LOVE to have your help!

We have older adventures that need to be updated (as noted above) and new adventures that need to be statted in both systems.

If interested, please email me at PCIHenry@gmail.com with what you are interested in helping out with.

Additionally, and I know I've asked this before, if anyone would like to write an adventure, we
would love to have you. Any adventure released will be sold on DrivethruRPG with the net proceeds (Drivethru takes 30%) will be split 50/50. Payment will come directly from Drivethru.

In any case, sorry for the 'behind the scenes look', but I hope that answered your question and gave you insights as to the reasoning behind it.
