No, not entropy... tier caps! Now that the top edge of characters appears to be at or near tier 3.5, that means there is only 2.5 tiers left for the most powerful heroes in the realm. Many heroes are lower, so lets call us at about half way through a character's life span. What do we see happening in the future? Another 2.5 tiers is what? 4-5 years of play? I'm assuming planned future arcs are designed to play to the higher end (though not necessarily highest end) characters. Does that mean a major world-changing show down as mot people are in tier V? What is the plan for afterward? Reset? Continue with a huge range of character tiers? End? It makes a difference because if it is a total reset than those that play many characters and who may thus not have any tier V characters at the end, but several 3+ characters might miss never playing the higher tiers, so if a reset is planned they might want to know. Also, how is tier planning, leveling, and all that sync with ARG/5e? ARG 5.9 does not seem anyway near as powerful as 19th level. Will the 5e campaign cap at some level lower than 20th to maintain similar power levels between the versions? |
