Now that the newly expanded Sorcerous Pacts book is out, is there anything in particular which catches people's eye?

Things I noticed in the updated Sorcerous Pacts book:
  • The costs for boon talents and spells seem more reasonable now than in 1st edition of book
  • It still costs enough to invoke a boon spell that party will need to decide whether to prep it. To be fair, the whole party should chip in and not expect the caster to cover it. The lack of guarantee of the whole party contributing to spell costs (and likely never to the initial 10 Gc investment) in a shared campaign world may turn some players off from bothering to take the talents, whereas in a home campaign the whole party would almost certainly absorb all the costs.
  • The Arcane Spell Casting talent is not an explicit requirement for any of the boon talents. Knowledge of casting Elemental Guardian spell is a requirement, but that's only a Tier I spell. Thus, Arcane Spell Casting I plus taking the boon talent all the way can yield all the boon spells.
  • The new paths and fighting style look really cool!
  • I like the new art (I think it's been expanded) and the old art, too.
  • I really like including the Elemental Bestiary. I do wish it had included the few elementals in the ARPG book; better to duplicate than make us look in two different sources and remember which is where.
  • Having new talents and paths for eloran PCs is great!
  • To Burn the Soul is an awesome, potentially powerful talent (which gives me mixed feelings). I like the concept, and it has been discussed elsewhere in the forum. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2299
  • My favorite part is still the story of Telos's interworldly travels in search of information on the Elemental Lords. I mentioned my theory about the major secret about Keleos (Elemental Lord of Fire) elsewhere in the forum. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2313&p=22908&hilit=telos#p22908
