Did we ever get a name/the names of the Legion or Legions up there?

Ummmm. . . None? There is no more Bastion, as it was destroyed as the Infernal retreated back into the Fiendish Expanse. That said, aside from the Legion in Giants Keep, there have never been legions North of the God's Wall.

For some reason, I was thinking in the BI a few years ago with Xabal, there were val'Vasik Legionnaires. Not to mention, the armor and weapon proficiency for Bastion obviously hearken to the Legionnaires.

But thanks for the reminder about the one at Giantskeep!

My understanding of the canon is not that the Bastionites were based on what became the Coryani Legions, but they were organized along the lines of the FIRST IMPERIUM LEGIONS. Remember, Xabal was there when the First Imperium was founded, and probably would have organized his forces according to the will of Illiir when he still walked the world.

Bastion never had named Legions to my knowledge. As I understand it Xabal wanted to absolutely minimize the contact and corruption of "his charges" by the infernal hosts. So mostly as I understand it Bastion had a defensive posture and relied heavily on its walls and Xabal's personal power to stay safe.

A:RPG lists legion like weapons for the former soldiers of Bastion. But i recall spears and regular shields (and leather armor?) from the BI at the end of the crusade arc

Reading Legacy of Damnation, Xabal would send out his army and navy to attack the Infernals, but generally kept this to small-scale conflicts. Both sides knew that if it came down to a pissing contest, the Infernals would swallow up Bastion, but the Bastionites (especially with a Fallen Valinor in their corner) would do a lot of damage to the Infernals in the process. As such, they raided to keep themselves sharp but otherwise maintained the status quo.
