It would have to carry over, otherwise what would be the point of combining it with other spells? The extra damage die? I don't think most spells are written to make sure they remain useful after combining with other spells. Maybe this is a case where it is just a spell best left alone and able to get through AR? After all, gladius of light creates an insubstantial blade, combining it with a spell that creates an actual blade, or one that enchants already existing fists is bound to have some limitations to the concept. |
