Created with the (soon to be) new Errata rules for creating Advanced Spells. Wording has been adjusted to accommodate both spells as well as to add flavor.

Exhausting Bolt
Elemental Bolt & Mind Lock
Tradition: Control/Elemental (Elder) [Tier I]
Category: Advanced
CTN: 24
Speed(Strain): 5(+5)
Range: 30' (1 target)
Duration: Instant
Defense: Avoidance & Discipline

You fire a bolt of debilitating elemental energy at your target.

Effect: Choose an Element (Air, Earth, Fire, or Water). Exhausting Bolt deals d6(Primary) damage of the chosen element type as well as inflict your target with 4 Strain and Recovery 2.
Restriction: You must already have an available source of the element somewhere adjacent to use that particular element, unless you can produce the source yourself (such as certain Elorii).
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 3, Speed and Strain by 2 to affect an additional individual within range.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 6, Speed by 2, and Strain by 4 to change the range to 30' (10' Radius).
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 2 to increase the spell's range by 30'. This adaptation may be applied multiple times.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 3, Strain by 1 to apply a Die Bump to the damage die. This Adaptation may be applied multiple times.
Adaptation: Increase the CTN by 4, Speed by 1 to increase the Strain applied by +4 (for a total of 8).

Wanted to see a Tier I spell that took advantage of damaging and providing a debilitating effect without the need to cast it on as two separate actions. I hope you all enjoy :)
