I wanted to let everyone know that, for a variety of reasons, PCI (and thus the Arcanis campaigns) will not be at Origins going forward.

We do have plans (and pretty exciting ones) for what will replace our showcase Con and will announce them as soon as all the details are nailed down.

We know that many of you traveled to Origins just to play in the Arcanis campaigns and we greatly appreciate the time and expense you made to go there. We didn't make this decision without thinking about it long and hard about it, but we feel it's the right one to make.

As I said, I'll be making an official announcement about what we're planning to do to replace this show.

But, in the meantime, how many of you would be interested in attending a show in Chicago (or thereabouts) around late April or early May?

The poll is not working for me. Not sure if its my computer, a glitch, or something at your end. FYI

The primary reason I attend Origins every year is to play Arcanis and/or hang out with the Arcanis community. SO ... assuming there will be at least 5 or 6 slots of new material (obviously) I will follow wherever Arcanis goes to play and judge. And I almost certainly will get a hotel room there. (It would be great if costs hotel costs were cheaper than Origins which jumped several years ago. Depending on the cost and location I might weigh staying on site versus finding a dive motel and renting a car while there. That's what I do at Origins these days. But its far easier and preferable to actually on site....)

Origins is a great Con and (I think) has been a great partner to Arcanis for a long time. If things have blown up in some way I'm sorry to hear that.

Hello Eric,

I just tested it and it's not working for me either. But I've noted your response. Thank you!

More details as I have them.

I would attend such an event assuming it provided a full weekend of gaming, just like I did arcanicon in the same location, but then I have the advantage of already being in the Midwest.

My biggest concern about this is that we lose so much of the ability to draw new players. It seems like Origins has been our primary venue for player recruitment. It may be worth it to marry the future Arcanicon to some other small local convention - like Ucon in Michigan, or winter fantasy in Fort Wayne, or something similar in Chicago in order to still have a possibility to advertise/recruit new players.

Oh, and I couldn’t get the poll to work either and don’t really do Facebook.

It would just be nice for those of us who do not live in the states, to have access to the adventures being run at conventions we can't access.
