Attending Origins and seeing all of you folks is one of the highlights of my year. Over the years that I have been part of Arcanis, Origins has become almost a family reunion, of sorts. This year, things are going to be a little different for me.
As some of you may know, Origins almost always takes place at the same time as Pride here in Columbus, OH. Pride is a celebration of LGBTQ identity and a chance for a lot of grassroots socio-political demonstrations and activity. Given the current situation in the US, I need to spend the bulk of the upcoming weekend with my LGBTQ family, instead of my gamer family. Both are important to me, but 2016 has been one of the most violent years for LGBTQ individuals and I need to do what I can to change that.
I will be judging the 5e open library slots on Wednesday and a few on Thursday too, so I won't be entirely absent. And of course, if you want to stroll down to the Pride festival on Friday or Saturday please do! I'll be there
