Can I play just the second half of the Friday special event.? There is a conflict for me on Friday afternoon.

Unfortunately no. It is split into distinct halves only for judge signup purposes. There is a defined schedule for the event; allowing for breaks etc; but it is properly a full two-round event.

That's too bad my roommate Beth is in the same boat. The Fellowship of the White Star interactive is the same afternoon as the LA special, hence Peter's schedule conflict.

Are the Friday and Saturday specials really supposed to be $28 a piece? That's substantially above normal event prices. Normally the only things that high are sealed deck CCG events or similar. Normal event pricing is $2 per 2 hours (rounded up) so I'd expect them to be $10 each or maybe a little higher (not almost triple).

Yeah I saw that too and am wondering about same. Makes me glad I agreed to judge. :) Still I would have thought the fee would have been between 12 and 18 bucks not 28. That does seem a bit steep.

Am I reading the Origins registration correctly that the D&D 5e tables of the BI are almost sold out, whereas the ARG tables have lots of seats still available? I wonder whether it's because of 5e popularity or ARG players are accidentally selecting the 5e tickets.

Hello,

You're reading it backwards. It's the other way around.

Request:

If there is access to a spare white board, could GMs and players please do a 'quote board' during the event? (and then post to the forums afterwards?)

Always worth it to see what silliness has occurred at tables. If its not done immediately after a session, its rare for quotes to be shared.

That's a pretty cool idea. Maybe that's something that could be done at the special and the BI.

We know that Henry plans to wrap up the current story arc at this Origins and likely give us a teaser for what's to come. I'm wondering at what point would we see the first mods for the new arc. Will we have to wait for them to premiere at next year's Origins? I think that's how it worked for this arc. If so what fills the year gap between the end of the old and the start of the new? I'm perfectly fine with soft points, but it is a whole year which is why I ask.

Also I wanted to say thanks to Henry for the Kickstarter update. While I want product now like most impatient gamers I'm also okay with more cool stuff like he mentioned in the update. That artwork for the Tal Kanath dancer makes me want to play an Elorri, but the Ssethregoran book is the one I'm waiting for. That and the Kio book. :)

I've noticed that the 5e tables are hard to find if you don't know to look for them. I am thinking about promoting the slots at the FLAG I frequent. Can you disclose which of the 5e "Any Mods" have been converted so I can promote as much of the story arc as possible? I'd like to make a flyer with all the mod descriptions that will be available....

Also, since we traditionally have the HQ table by the escalators can we have a big 5e Tables Forming sign to catch passers by? I'd hate to see the 5e effort fail for lack of advertising, so I am willing to make the sign if you need someone to.

Eric
