Yes I know it's ridiculously early but I booked my room for Origins 2016 yesterday and this time tacked on an extra day (Tuesday) onto the reservation. So I will go ahead and throw out the invite to run one or more slots of Arcanis. Nice thing about having the room as opposed to having to be picked up by roommate is we can go late on slots. Assuming things stay the same we should be able to run in the Drury Lobby like past years. Matt and Tony, if you are willing to put up with me as a GM I'd be more that happy to give you a chance to play. Besides this would be a golden opportunity to get Tony back for Haakon's experience with Dance Among the Bones...man was that ewww creepy... :o   You sir are a bad bad man! :)

I also already booked my room (pretty much a necessity to get into the Drury). I'm booked Tuesday until Monday.

Is anyone else staying at the Drury until Monday (or later)? Did you get up-charged for Sunday night ($145 through Saturday but $165 for Sunday)? In years past, there was never an upcharge - I'm not sure if the con got cheap and only got the block until Sunday or if Drury screwed up my reservation (supposedly they gave me the con rate outside of the normal block because the front desk screwed up).

I discussed the Drury with roommate but she wanted to go with the Hyatt. She likes the fact that all she has to do is go down the elevator, walk through the Bar on 2 and she's at her slot site. Have to admit I like that as well. :) Still the free breakfast at the Drury would be nice. :)

I used to stay at the Hyatt but the rooms weren't as nice and the elevators frequently broke (which was a huge hassle). Next time I can't get into the Drury, I plan to stay at the Hilton - opposite end from most RPGs but right across from exhibit hall, minis, and board games. Honestly, I rarely eat the free breakfast (I usually grab a couple sandwiches from Chicken & Egg as I go through the food court).

I'll be coming in to the Hyatt on Tuesday, but not until very late. So I probably won't be involved in any pregame festivities. At least not Arcanis-related festivities...
I also like the Hyatt location, since pretty much all I do at Origins is role playing gaming. And I don't have any issues with the rooms.

With Arcanicon behind us now and Origins on the horizon I thought I'd bump this thread. As it stands me and my friend John should be on site Tuesday 14 June around noon. We can either run or play depending on people's needs. So start thinking about what you want either to play or run. Theoretically we could do two slots. I'm assuming the lobby of the Drury is available, but if that's a bust I have no problem running a slot in our room at the Hyatt. Not an ideal venue but better than nothing. :) I can run or play pretty much anything off the list. With the time available we might even be able to do one of the BIs.

I may or may not be available Tuesday afternoon. A friend is coming with me this year and she has never been to Origins before so I definitely want to give her the tour of the area.

I will definitely be up for a Tuesday evening game. I would REALLY like to play HP2-4 Visions of Lives Past or SP2-9 In Plain Sight (those are the last two modules that are available that I need for Ss'kethis (I'd still like to play Edge of the Knife even if it was horrible (I'm a completionist)).

Of the two mods you listed Steve, I would be more inclined to run In Plain Sight. But it will depend on what the majority of people want. I also have no problem playing as well. :)

Steve, Nicole and I both need Visions of Lives Past and so may look to set up a game of that before Origins. Certainly if not at Origins, then after.

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul

Paul, Steve, I just got off the phone with our mutual friend John. I discussed running Visions of Live Past at Origins with him and he seemed willing to do so. If no else needs to play that mod, and I'm not otherwise engaged, I could play it with a secondary character to round out a table. At that point I may actually have a Elorii to play. :)
