It is looking like I might actually be able to attend Arcanicon this year, trying to look at travel arrangements. How many slots are there normally on the 6th? I assume no itinerary has been finalized?

ArcaniCon usually has a limit of up to 100 people due to the venue. I believe last year there were about 50-ish players. The way that the 'slots' work is that there is one slot each for each adventure, and the interactive event.

So would there be 2-3 new modules, an interactive event of some sort, and as many pickup games as you can find people for?

Pretty much. 2 years ago there was a SP and a HP and the Vault. Last year there was 2 SPs and the Savona Interactive. There is also usually time for one adventure prior to the SPs, and typically there are no planned events Sunday.

Sorry, just to clarify. Generally at Origins (and I would assume Gencon) there are typically three slots per day. At Arcanicon, Seeing as it is a 4 day convention, how many slots typically get run? If I make the arrangements to go, should I expect somewhere in the range of 10-12 slots, or is it usually more in the 4-6 range?

Not really worth it for me to travel all the way to Chicago if there are only going to be a handful of games running (official or otherwise).

I ran a pick up game on Friday. Then played the 2 soft points. Saturday was the three round interactive which I judged. Then Sunday morning I judged another pick up slot. 7 slots isn't that hard to get but you need to make some effort and it represents the most you should expect.
