I just wanted to reach out and welcome all the new players we had at GENCON this year. Thanks for giving us a look.

My favorite experience with a new player this weekend was getting blown off a cliff.

Me: "Does anybody have a rope?"
New Elorri Player : "Yes. But your human can't use it."

Let me guess. His flaw was "Prejudice"!

Had a 6 party table with 3 experienced players and 3 new, pre-gen players where 2 of the experienced characters were trying to keep the other experienced character from running off alone into the frontier of the Blessed Lands while the 3 pre-gens were handling almost all of the diplomacy. Apparently, the one guy was left quite scarred from the mission to some Ansharan shrine underground near Tultipet. They did well for being new players.

But, my ss'ressen will be hitting up a few temples of Beltine in some research on what to add to the golfbag of weapons.
