Quick question - (and I am rather sure of the answer already) Do the soft points play into the special or are they stand alone?

I expect the answer is both. They'll play in, but be fine to stand on their own for people not attending.

I expect I'll be playing Vincens as Nicole will be playing Dessa. There's a part of me that really wants to bring The Mountain, but I think it makes more sense to go the other way.

As Paul mentioned, it's a bit of both. The Soft Points are designed to be stand alone, individual stories, but the NPCs, story, and consequences are being designed to arc between the two.

I was wondering the same thing. I think I registered but I'm not 100% sure (since there is no email confirmation).

Based on the format of the registration system (Google survey thing) there wouldn't be a confirmation email. It simply collects data for whoever controls it. Any confirmation emails would have to be done manully.

That said, I too would like to see how many people have signed up!

Last year there was a spreadsheet you could check to see who had signed up.
