I just got confirmation that our submissions have been accepted by U-Con. We will be offering the following:

LA-A3-SP1 Dagger in the Shadows, by Cody Bergman
“Not all battles must be in the open, using legions and armies.”
The Heroes are drawn into the secret intrigues in Grand Coryan after the death of a simple clerk.

LA-A3-SP2 Deep Roads, but Akira Currier
A previously unknown complex within the First City has been discovered, which is believed to contain artifacts dating back to the early First Imperium. With various factions preparing expeditions, who will be the first to reach the ruins and claim the treasures contained within?

Additionally, we will have 2 open library slots. The actual schedule of events will be on the U-Con site, and I am told it *should* be up sometime today.

Please be advised, we currently have one (1) table scheduled per slot, as I am currently the only volunteer. I am told that we can add tables as needed, but I need other volunteers who would be willing to commit.

I am willing to judge a couple of slots.

It looks like those two mods are the only new adventures released since Origins in June. Is that right?

That is correct, David.

Well, bought my Saturday badge and tickets for all three Arcanis events that day, so now it is time to start planning that open library slot...

Any interest in any of the Crusade modules? Especially early hard points, say 2-5? (i.e. Desperate times, strange bedfellows, Born in the Fires of Hell, or Relevance) I can do others, but those are the ones I want most, since it seems to make sense to do early crusade before late crusade...

Unlike last year I won't be bringing any new characters to the con. Right now we are working our way through the Crusade again and should be done with Hard Points 1-5 and Soft Points 1-5 before the con. So anything early is probably not on the table this time. Sorry!

Wasn't really on the table last time either. The idea that (bigger or new) bump certs aren't needed to bring newer players up to par with older players because newer players should just play the older modules is a laugh. I come to the biggest cons Arcanis has and I can't get the older modules off as open tables at them. Unless one can find enough newbies and a judge to run a campaign of them, they don't happen.

Let's see I have played the Crusade Arc (at least most of the mods) about four times at least. Sorry Ken but there are other mods I need to play at this point. Now I have characters who need to work through the Destroyer Arc, but it sounds like you want the Crusade Arc. Is that what I'm hearing? Right now we have a new player at home we are helping get leveled up by playing the Crusade mods and early soft points. All my Crusade arc characters are caught up with the early mods. To be honest we may play the premiers and play some other games at the con. Not sure yet at this point.

Oh, this was nothing about you Michael. Just commenting that it is essentially impossible to get together a table of most crusade modules from arcanis players.

I have played everything that is not crusade arc, so crusade is my preference. But I'm certainly up for playing something from newer arcs with a secondary character, especially seeing as crusade it so unlikely.

I attended all Saturday of last weekend's Ucon. It was a great event. Two solid tables per round, and a successful open library slot. The new modules "Dagger in the Shadows," by Cody Bergman and, "Deep Roads," by Akira Currier were both very enjoyable. My thanks to the authors.

But primarily my thanks to Matt for organizing the Arcanis part of Ucon and to my judges Mindy, Devin, and Peter for judging my tables.
