The items are definitely interesting and very appropriate to a Ss'ressen table, naturally. BEAST I expect will have a field day with this one if they haven't already. They are things that you could build a character concept around, depending on the character. Of the ones in the list, I'm not sure what I'll end up picking. Neither a Huge character nor a Ss'ressen were on my list of characters to play, given limited playing time. The Armlet of Vigilance is cool. My only hangup with it for my primary is that he's a devout follower of the Pantheon of Man. Wearing the holy symbol of a foreign god? Not cool. Could work for a secondary character. As has been mentioned, there is no Ye Olde Magic Shoppe here. Everything that can be bought and used at current play levels - even runed exceptional weapons - has some, but limited impact on play. It's enough for exceptional light armor, but still has quite a ways to go to get you to exceptional medium and certainly not heavy. Certainly not a requirement at T1 or T2 and more likely to open up later. And again, not game breaking given the minimum bulk and the fact characters can start with it. I think they serve a great purpose being flavorful, appropriate and interesting, even if a bunch of them do get sold. With a sweep of his hat, Paul |
