In the module it says about the tower of Gettulus in the first city,
Quote:
"When we overthrew the ssethrics, we tore down the tower and repurposed many of the halls below ground..."

And then you proceed to adventure through some of the bowels of the tower, that was torn down before humans came to the continent.

How does this jive with what it said in the Ssethregore book, page 17?

Quote:
"As the blood of the greatest Ssethric mage of all time rained down upoin the flagstones of the magnificent Tower of Gettulus, he spoke a final phrase, From the dying Ss'koreth's throat rattled a death curse. Fueled by his own blood, Ss'koreth brought about a hideous change in the Tower. the blood of the sorcerer leached into the stones themselves, and before the mob's eyes, the entire tower changed from jet black to a dull crimson. The doors closed and then vanished. To this day, the death curse of Ss'koreth keeps the Tower of Gettulis in the ruins of Yahssremore prefectly preserved and sealed, awaiting the return of the ssanu to lift the curse."

Obviously one of those quoted remarks is false.

The joy of Arcanis is that most of what we know is written in character, which means it is written by biased, fallible creatures.

And I assume there are no big red towers with no obvious doors currently part of the first city skyline?

As they haven't come up in a mod, I think it is safe to say " not in any part you have thus far been to"

Well, the First City is a big place. I can say with confidence that you haven't seen any such building in the settled section you've visited.

Did we ever establish how big the plateau of Mount Dagha is? Just curious. Also estimated size and population stats for the various incarnations of the First City? I assume this is in the Blessed Lands book and if so just say so, that's good enough for me. :)

There is no information in canon that I have seen.

Hi there

Posting in this thread to keep all Vision of Lives Past in the one topic

I have just run the module and there are a few items that have a resale value listed. Some of these values are fairly high (ie 20 gold pieces)

Can the players sell the items for this value or is it only there to work out tax to be paid if they don't engage Emerald Society or Azure Way?

I hope it is the second as it is a bit unfair for one player to walk out with 20 GC and another with the equivalent of a fine dagger

Cheers

Sometimes in life fair is spelled F-A-R-E ... :P

As I understand it, it is indeed a sell price. Not sure I've seen a table where the PCs don't work with either the ES or AZ to skip taxes.

It is true it can be a windfall for a specific PC. But most Arcanis players are mature and can figure something out. Especially if they are likely to work together in the future. PCs can always sell it to split the cash reward ... or the lucky person might pay out cash to other players. I've seen both those things at tables I've run.
