Tried to find any posts with "once upon a time" in the subject, limited the search to just the Arcanis forums, and got a message saying the search had too many common words.

Actual search string was "+once +upon +a +time". Actual message that the system returned was: "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: upon once time a."

Doesn't make sense.

I've searched using many words, few words, inclusions, exclusions, etc... Always the same results.

Verified just now. Searching for "starting language" also gets no results with both words shown as "too common". Is it possible to just turn off the "too common" filter?

Search engines have stop words which are so frequent in appearance as to be meaningless when calculating a relevant match. The word "a" is a stop word for example. I don't know of a search engine that will match against that other than in an exact phrase match. Your other words commonly would show up though. It sounds like the search engine may define as common words that appear in too great a percentage of items matched. Sounds like Pedro has tweaked it, so worth trying it again.

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul
