As the rulebooks are written, all Powers with a range must use Ranged skill for their attack (unless otherwise stated, such as Entangle Power). It is intimated that mundane equipment (flamethrowers etc) without Burnout use Firearms skill but not explicitly stated anywhere, except as a possible Focus within the Firearms skill description. Outside of that, it is up to negotiation between EiC and Heroes what skill they use. Mostly likely to come up would be Energy Generation (being a range 0 area attack) could easily be treated as a Power Action Roll instead of a Ranged Skill Action Roll. |
