Heh. Well that clears that up.
It actually makes my life a bit more difficult as I have to get the formulas right for online play. I have a feeling the presentation will suffer for the sake of expediency. But heh, when you are staring at the business end of a big fat damage bonus, I don't think anyone s going to quibble about how things look on the screen.
Yeah, running an online game does have challenges that I never had to worry about on the tabletop.
Thanks for the clarification.
Hey Eric and Henry, while we are on the topic, 4d of damage sounds good for each Area fallen, yes? Old edition, IIRC, specified 2d of damage per 9 feet. So if a wilderness Area is 18"x18", that should round out to 4d per area.
The formula I'm using is this:
Falling damage = (# of Areas x 4) - (1 per 2 successes on a toughness roll, plus successes rolled from Break Fall Talent, plus any armor worn)
So a fall from 4 Areas (or 72 feet) would be 16d, or 10d plus 3 bonus damage, before any negative modifiers were taken into effect.
Sound about right?
Tom
Who is really looking forward to anything official on hazards!!!!
