| Post subject: | Rite OR Relic? |
So I'm playing around with magical means of communication as part of a larger article on the speed of communication in the 17th century. Each method uses a specially prepared vessel of some sort by which to transmit a message ("Watson! Come here! I want to see you."). So the question is what mechanism makes more sense for these things? Should they be rites, or should they be low level relics? I'm thinking rites because these are enchantments placed on an object. But it would also make sense to make these relics, though that might blur the line a bit and make players wonder why they can't create any other level 1 relics. Thoughts? Tom |
