Second Draft
Saggezza delle Strade (Wisdom of the Streets)
Country of Origin: Italy Weapon of Choice: Dagger or throwing knife
Saggezza delle Strade is not a formal school of combat. It's earliest forms were practiced by criminal gangs in the late Roman Empire. Today, variants of the style are spread throughout the Mediterranean and Western Europe. It focuses on close quarters combat, strategic strikes, and surprise.
Special Feature: students of Saggezza delle Strade may use the following weapon tricks with a dagger: (basic) steady shot, (greater) hamstring, (heroic) ranged disarm.
BASIC Close Fighting: When wielding a dagger or knife against an opponent with a larger weapon, you gain +1 Avoidance.
Twin blades: When using a pair of small weapons, gain +1d to Two Weapon Attacks.
Quickest Cut: against an opponent with a larger weapon, +2d initiative bonus. Once per combat, after combat order has been established, you may make an opposed Reflexes (agility) roll to change your initiative to one ahead of your opponent.
GREATER Vital Strike: You sacrifice a Quick Attack action to draw your quarry in close. You may take a defensive stance this turn. On your next turn, if your attack roll is successful you add x2 weapon DM to your damage roll (for a +6 DM total).
Salvo of Blades: Complex action; with one throwing attack roll, you may throw up to three knives at one or more targets within close range. Each knife thrown requires a 1d wager. This wager cost is cumulative. Each dagger directed at the same target adds it's DM to the final damage roll (+6 DM max).
HEROIC Tenacious Fighter: at beginning of combat, receive a number of bonus dice equal to your Resolve skill. You may apply these dice to Attack or Reflex (Parry) rolls.
