Reading "A child's game", a question came to my mind: what do demons know about the World?
In particular, what do they know about the "Terra Incognita", i.e. all those areas not yet discovered by the people of the Old World?
This question came to my mind page 3 of the adventure, third paragraph in the second column: "Legion now seeks to expand their goals into the New World. They have learned from the legends and tales of the Colonies that it is a place rife with spirit activity. ..."

So, what I would like to understand, is why a being such as Legion or Azazel does not know about the New World more than the "white men"? Are demons not supposed to be able to travel, through the Invisible World, to and from any place on Earth?
What is it that I am missing?

Many thanks!
Nicolas

Unless they were cast into the beasts and trapped upon the earth.

Thanks Eric!

I understand that if the demon was trapped in our World (no the Invisible one), then he was stuck in the Old World until ships were going to discover the New World.
However, does that answer the question about what it knows? I mean, a creature like Legion or Azazel have witnessed the origin of the World, so they know about the Old World much better than human beings.

No?

Hello,

The truth is that the Demon (or any antagonist in question) knows as much as is required in the story.

Let's face it, I can make whatever metal/story gymnastic necessary to substantiate the knowledge (or lack thereof) of just about anything. The only true constraint are the needs of the story being told.
