That last segment brings the story to a close. I am considering an epilogue, but want to think a bit more on that before I decide if I will write it. I hope you enjoyed reading the story and feel satisfied with the ending.

I welcome feedback especially on areas where things didn't ring true or could be improved. I'm open to going back and making adjustments and constructive criticism will help with future writing projects.

If you want a single document version to read, let me know and I can send it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

It's been an enjoyable project for me. I'll have to think on what another one might look like.

With a sweep of his hat,

Paul

Excellent story Paul, very well written. I definitely think an epilogue will be needed at some point. Bravo!

I'm with Akira on that bit about the epilogue. As someone who adventured with the Mountain I had no clue about your deep background. In character I would probably agree with you on keeping it concealed. What I don't know I can't tell. Of course most of my characters think the only good Harvester is a dead Harvester. :) And would definitely step up to defend The Mountain against the same.

Thanks. Glad you both enjoyed it.

Very few people knew the truth about the character OOC. Nicole and the few GMs that needed to were all that knew prior to me writing this story. I had expected and to surprise people with it at a table when the situation became dire enough to force his hand. I don't intend to change my play style or automatically key folks into his secret OOC. If they've read the story here or heard about him, great. If not, genuine reactions are always better than manufactured ones. :)

So far he's only played in one mod that had Harvesters and did not for obvious reasons draw their attention.

As someone who's character has played along Hat's The Mountain, and same character has siblings with 'the Gift', without question he'd come to The Mountain's aid against the Harvesters.

Hat, that was an incredible story. I'm most definitely looking forward toward more. 8-)

I expect an epilogue of 1000+ words of the wedding! :P

The girls all need to know the usual details (dress, flowers, bridesmaids, guest list, beheaded Harvesters...)

Now THERE'S a wedding present! :o

Can't wait to see THAT request on the wedding registry..... :)

Beheaded Harvesters draw attention. There's not a single arcane caster in The First City. They really should simply abandon it and move their operations elsewhere. Somewhere less sleepy. Like the Fellglade. I'm sure the Elorii have plenty of casters there to harvest. ;)

The wedding / reception is what I would consider a proper epilogue though the lack of details on religious ceremonies make that a bit more challenging. Given the principals I expect a priest of Althares would preside.

Anyone attend "The Wedding" interactive in 2006? There should be some details from that (may need to poke Henry).
