A simple question for this forum, probably should be replaced with a sticky answering it.

How do I participate in online plays?
What do I need?
Where do I go?

1) When someone posts a thread opening up a game, just post there saying you want to play. Failing that, post a game of your own and try to drum up interest.

2) All you need is your character sheets, access to a headset mic and speakers (even then, the mic is optional but SO helpful), and an email account. We often use Roll20.net for maps and either Skype or G+ Hangouts (both free) for video/voice chat. Roll20 has its own video/voice chat, but I'm not a fan.

3) You go here to learn about them, but as stated above I'd check out at least roll20. Make an account, play with their maps, and if you have a few monies to throw around maybe throw them a donation because it really is a decent webservice.

Alternately, you can 'play-by-post' (PbP) which is playing on forums such as Myth-Weavers. The games take quite a bit longer to run (usually 2-3 months per game), but it is much less time intensive. Usually you only need to post once a day, instead of trying to free up a 4-5 hour block of time which might not mesh with your schedule. To offset the slow pace of each game, we frequently have 3-4 modules running simultaneously.

If you're interested in a PbP game, click here and make an account, and then go here and upload your character. I'm not sure when then next game is going to start, but we can make sure to get you into it.
