Me and my girlfriend plus one or two others have been trying to get through the First Arc crusades. Its been hard to find more players and a judge that wants to go through them all as well though, so I figured it would be worth trying here!

Let me know if you want to play through it with us. Currently we've gotten as far as past Desperate Times and getting the Sarishan Steel weapon.

Would I be correct to assume that you and your friends are all local to each other? One thing to keep in mind is that if you GM a module, you receive XP and gold as though you had played it. You do miss out on a lot of the material rewards (special weapons, etc), but you always get maximum gold and xp even if the rest of the group doesn't.

If you are having a hard time getting a regular GM, you can always suggest to your players that you all take turns GMing, and no one will fall behind in experience.

A few modules actually give GMs slightly more than max xp.

However, a fair number of modules also give less gold than a player is likely to get (one I just GMd gave 75s whereas PCs got share of 4.5g (more than 75s unless 6+ players)).

I've played only a handful of the A1 (Crusade) modules, and I would enjoy getting to play through them, even if online. Please keep me posted if this comes together.

If you don't mind a slower pace, there's an ad-hoc group going Year 1 via play-by-post on Myth-weavers.

Approx 1 adventure per month currently (with a mix of first play and replay to keep the numbers up).

I have SP1-02 'Desparate Times' needing players (we're down to two), if you want to try a secondary character as a replay.

A new game is likely to start in 2-3 weeks time (we're up to Encounter 3 in the current game).

Character Depository "game" is:

I am interested in any organized playthrough of the first arc. I have never GM'd online, but would be willing to do a share of the GMing if we are splitting the duty between players.

My primary still needs a fair number of arc 1 adventures. I'd be willing to try GMing online (I've never done so before) for some of the adventures I already have played. Note, however, that when I've GM'd Arcanis so far, the pace seems to be slow (my home group rarely gets through a mod in 4 hours (sometimes they go off-script and sometimes it just takes longer and I'm not sure why).

One thing I enjoy about playing mods at home over conventions is the ability to take more than 4 hours and to add in more role-playing. I've seen some Legends of Arcanis mods even have suggestions on things to add if there's time at home play. Admittedly, I'd rather the extra time not be for mechanics and combat, but I've been warned that the first game on-line can take a little while for newbies to get adjusted to the on-line tools.

While I like the idea of sharing GMing duties, I don't myself feel comfortable enough with the ruleset to be GM yet.

I could play on my other characters.

My issue is prepping time. I could GM some of the adventures.

JP, I like GM/Chroniclers who care about prep time. I don't like GMs who run mods cold. Thanks!
