I was looking at the Legends of Arcanis Campaign guide V2.1 page 8 and saw - "The Fate Point ability to avoid certain death per the Permanent Injury rules as presented on page 186 of the CoH" etc.
In the CoH on page 8 (Optional rules), it doesn't seem as though these "Permanent Injury" rules are linked or related to Fate. Is the concept that in the LoA Campaign, a player can spend 1 point of Fate to utilise the Permanent Injury rules?
Also, I see that in the Optional Rules (p186 CoH), there are some new fate uses. Are these legal? There seems no mention of the in the Campaign guide that I have seen, so I assume not.
To summarise - Villains can use them to negate a Hero Point use (I'm not so keen on this one) - A Hero may - before the roll is made - succeed on a Horror Check (We all hate failing these) - A Hero may - after failing a Horror Check - ignore any result that would cause the Hero to flee (other penalties apply) - A Hero may increase his Pace by 5' x his Fate Score for one action only
Most of these are kind of nice, and GMs will love the first one. None of them seems overbalanced. If these haven't been considered, could they be included in the next Campaign Guide?
