I was wondering where the Scions of Ven Val'sosi will live. Originally, I thought they may live in the Sulfur Marsh and I was think of getting an old watch tower bordering the Sulfur Marsh and Milandir for my scion. Then as the story came out I thought they may want to live in Trailia and I thought I would get a foundry for my scion to live in. I was just wondering how Milandir and the Matriarch would play into this. Thoughts? |

Either choice may be viable. The Matriarch of the BT is also a Marquesas in the Court of Tralia (ie. just 1 Tier under the Duke). We know that males and some females go out and fight in Milandir's wars. The King's Champion is also the Black Talon's Warlord (highest ranked male warrior). Some Black Talons spend A LOT of time outside of the Sulfur Marsh. Psionic Ss'ressen may well carve out a niche for themselves in Tralia. On the other hand the heart of Black Talon society (its center of gravity) is the Matriarch and female clergy of the Fire Dragon. Do you want to stay closer to that? Do you think there may be social pressure (social or otherwise) to keep the Psionic Ss'ressen close at hand? Does the Black Talon society as a whole treat the psionic ss'ressen with great respect? Fear? A little of both? Does your psion crave contact and interaction with other psions? Does he think he's superior to his non-psionic kin? How does he feel toward humans? Do they smell funny? |

From Henry's story, weren't they keeping the deformed births around for some sort of purpose? If they are doing that then I can't imagine they'd want their fully formed psionic ss'ressen too far out of claws reach... Unless they have a Sentinal or Holy Champion around to help protect them? |

The Black Talons have a very close relationship with the val'Holryn, so I think anything in either the Sulfur Marsh (outside of Lampeltis, as in the story) or in Tralia City would be a viable option. |
