Apologies if I got the spelling wrong, but when I first read about this monotheistic "heresy" in the Codex of Heroes the first thing that came to mind was an Arcanis version of the Soldiers of the One (STO) terrorists from the SciFi series Caprica. I could see a mod developing out of this. Anybody got ideas or comments? Musings or speculations welcome.

The Andai have actually been part of Arcanis since the 4th Year of the 3.5 campaign. One of their preachers showed up in Pecinium, and came off as the most awesome, compassionate guy ever. They are based in a far off country, past the sea of lanterns and the Khitani Empire.

Must have forgotten that one. So many mods gone by. :-) Does ring a bell now that you mention it. Still what did you think of the STO idea. Just because one group of a sect is reasonable doesn't mean there are fanatics lurking in the wings. The real world is rife with that let alone the world of Arcanis :(

Hello,

The Andai Ascendency will be reappearing in a Hard Point coming soon to a convention or gaming table near you.

And by "soon" I mean hopefully before Origins 2014.

Awesome. If there's one thing I love about this campaign it's the moral issues raised. Things that make you think, force you to make decisions, take actions that you are never quite sure are right. But you hope for the best and live with the consequences. Just like in real life. As much fun as I have had with Pathfinder and Living Greyhawk before that neither has generated the passion that Arcanis has. I care about what happens in this campaign.

Given it's a fictional campaign, sometimes it surpises me how worked up I got about things like the Battles of Enpebyn and Solanos Mor, the actions of the LLT, Menesis val'Tensen and the whole Calsestus thing, etc. I recall a BI I judged where I had a Mourner in Silence and a cleric of Illiir/LLT member at the table. In the process of roleplaying through the BI and the result of PC actions, the Mourner character recanted and asked to join the LLT. Talk about your conversion experiences! Twas truly a sight to see. :D
